Wheeling nails Cyclones in home opener 7-3

The Wheeling Nailers, spoiled opening night for the defending Kelly Cup Champions at US BANK ARENA by a score of 7-3. Andrew Petersen compiled a texas hat trick where he was able to net four goals past rookie goalie, Marc Cheverie (0-2-1-0). The Cyclones were able to get goals from Scott Reynolds, TJ Fast and Scott Lehman, but the five goal 3rd from Wheeling sunk the clones.
