Cyclones trade Brett Motherwell and Future Considerations to Utah

The Cyclones announced today that they have traded defenseman Brett Motherwell to the Utah Grizzlies along with future considerations for forward Dylan Hunter. Dylan comes to the Cyclones after playing in 43 games with the Griz' last season scoring 18 goals and 35 assists for 53 points. He also logged 19 games last season in the AHL with Rochester and Milwaukee who are AHL affiliates of the Clones. This is just a trade of the ECHL rights to both players as Motherwell and Hunter both are mulling over AHL contracts. Hunter played 5 seasons in the OHL with the London Knights. In his final two years of Major Junior, Hunter had 231 points in 129 games. His father is 20-year NHL veteran Dale Hunter.
