Irish Rookie signs, Six sent to AHL Camps

The Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that they have agreed to terms with Rookie, Chris Minella. Chris spent the last for seasons in the NCAA CCHA with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Minella played in 113 games in his college career scoring 12 goals and had 21 assists for 33 points. Chris was a three-time NCAA Tournament participant and was on the 2008 Notre Dame team that played in the NCAA National Championship. Cyclones defenseman, Brock Sheahan spent two seasons with Minella at Notre Dame. "He's a strong kid, out of a good program. I have only heard good things about how he competes and his willingness to play in the tough areas." Said head coach, Jarrod Skalde.

The Cyclones also sent six players to AHL Training Camps today. Ryan Del Monte, Brian O'Hanley and Matt Pierce all went to the Clones' AAA Affiliate in Rochester with former Clones' Head Coach, Chuck Weber. Defenseman J.C. Sawyer was sent to the Clones' other AAA Affiliate the Milwaukee Admirals. Chris Morehouse was sent to the Peoria Rivermen AHL camp while Brock Sheahan was sent to camp with the Manitoba Moose.
